Welcome to the Audiobooks of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at Aalto University! Our first AI audiobook is ‘The Fifth Wave \u2013 BRIE-ETLA Collection of Articles<\/em><\/a>\u00b4 edited by Timo Sepp\u00e4l\u00e4, Tomasz Mucha and Juri Mattila that has been turned into audio by artificial intelligence text to speech tools and applications. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the project:<\/strong> The first audiobooks were created in 1932 on vinyl records. Noticeable audiobook market growth started later in the 1960s by the advance of technology and cassette tapes and in the 1980s by compact discs. Today the audiobooks can be created with artificial intelligence text to speech tools and applications. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The creation of this first TUTA AI audiobook (four chapters of the book) was conducted as an auto-ethnographic study project during the summer 2023. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
