57. About The Role of AI in Shaping School Impact with Merissa Sadler-Holder, hosted by Tomi Kauppinen


Merissa Sadler-Holder is the recipient of ASU+GSV’s 2024 and 2025 Leading Woman in AI title and brings 13 years of classroom experience to her work. She served as an educator at La Cañada Unified School District, where she leveraged her credentials in multiple subjects, single subject, CTE authorization, and a Master’s degree in E-Learning to excel in the field. 

She is the founder of Teaching with Machines, a platform designed to support forward-thinking educators and schools in leveraging AI and emerging technology to innovate their practices and empower students.  Teaching with Machines is a proud collaborative partner of the 2024 ASU+GSV AI Show, alongside organizations such as Code.org, Digital Promise, and aiEDU. 

Merissa’s expertise includes developing impactful professional development programs, guiding districts through the integration of AI and emerging technology, providing free, high-value resources, and curating a weekly newsletter focused on the evolving intersection of technology and education.
